The proposal to install a zip line on Sparks Street has created a new buzz around the plans to rejuvenate the aging pedestrian mall.

The squabble between the Ottawa Public Library and the Ottawa Public Library Foundation seems to be a permanent one, with no chance for a resolution. The reason for the split stems from the foundation’s inability to raise funds needed for whatever it is that OPL intends to do with the library building.

Time and time again, Ottawa’s public transportation system causes its users more frustration than necessary. And OC Transpo’s at it again. The latest fiasco to make headlines in the city concerns hybrid buses.

It’s difficult to figure out why the city has a problem with building condominiums near Preston Street. Last week, plans for the development of a 42-storey tower on Preston Street were put on hold because the city wants to review the recent interest in high-rise developments in the area.
