Centretown businesses want the city to consider burying power lines and increasing parking as part of the upcoming Bank Street renovations.
Most teenagers wouldn’t be caught dead near school on a weekend. But the group of six teenagers camped outside Lisgar Collegiate from Jan. 28 to 31 had no intention of budging from their camping chairs parked next to the school’s main doors.
According to documents obtained through an access to information request, the federal government spent more than $600,000 to bring the newly relocated parole office on Gilmour Street up to standards, despite being offered expansion space at its old location for a lesser cost.
Centretown’s main streets will be rebuilt as early as this summer after city council approved nearly $7 million of construction in this year’s budget.
