Flawed laws should be changed, not ignored

I am writing about the articles regarding playing road hockey in the Jan 25 issue.

I must first state that this has nothing to do with what I believe in terms of the “playing road hockey is illegal” bylaw.

I personally grew up playing road hockey and still enjoy a good game now and then. Unfortunately, I have a problem with how we are dealing with this unjust bylaw. read more

mclennan article ‘misleading’

I find your writer’s portrait of rob mclennan (Oct. 12 ) strangely lacking — if not misleading.

rob mclennan has done a great deal to anger and upset some writers and observers in Ottawa’s literary scene and beyond. All you had to do was either talk to people at the TREE Reading Series (which mclennan still frequents, though his involvement as an organizer ended in 1994) or dig back through some local newspapers. read more
