City moves needle-exchange van after complaints from local business
A long-running dispute between a Centretown restaurateur and the city’s needle-exchange van seems to have been resolved. Thomas Stamoulis, owner of Mystiko Greek Kitchen and Wine Bar, says the city notified him that in the future the van will stay at least one block from his restaurant.
Twelve-year-old organizes fashion show for sick children
While most pre-teens are out playing in the snow and planning their weekends, Kate Reeve is on the phone looking for a volunteer makeup artist, emailing designers and tacking up posters. Twelve-year-old Reeve is the main brains and organizer behind Fashion for Funds, an upcoming local fashion show to raise money for children’s hospices.

Students trade flip-flops for mops at Centre 507
A local drop-in centre will receive a helping hand from 15 Carleton University students during the school’s reading week, part of a volunteer project aimed at sensitizing the students to the challenges of delivering social services in the city.
