Arnold highlights experience in bid to win new council seat

Somerset city Coun. Elisabeth Arnold says residents in her ward will need an experienced voice to fight for their needs in the new City of Ottawa.
As a result, Arnold, who has represented the ward since 1993, has announced she’ll seek re-election for a mega-city council seat in November.

That’s all Sue Hawkins wants you to do if you see her with a guide dog. It’s okay to talk to Hawkins but chances are the dog is being trained and needs to concentrate on the job at hand.
“If you see a dog working, please don’t distract them, and don’t feed them,” says Hawkins, head guide dog instructor for the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. “It’s extremely important,” she says, because distractions can hinder its progress.
