Former headquarters of NCC forerunner crumbles into dust

Early April brought dust clouds to the corner of Carling Avenue and LeBreton Street as demolition began on a long-vacant building that once housed offices of a forerunner of the National Capital Commission.

Back alleys brought to life

For the past year, eight local artists painted Ottawa’s back alleys. The dumpsters and blue bins, the telephone poles and wires, the children slipping through back streets to get home from school and the frequent dog walkers who use these gloomy spaces – they’ve painted it all.
