Few privileged Canadian athletes can say they know what it’s like to be the best at what they do. Even fewer can say they maintained this distinction while pursuing a master’s degree.
On Oct. 29, representatives from Ottawa’s paintball community gave a $4,000 cheque to 21-year-old Ashley Roos at a press conference at City Hall.
This isn’t the dodgeball you played when you were seven. Even players on the bench, perched on the stage of the Devonshire Public School gym have to duck for their lives while watching the game.
For residents of Ottawa who are concerned with the health of their hearts, finding an appropriate exercise class just got easier.
