Gold, silver, or bronze is the dream of all athletes heading to the Olympic Games. Or at least, it is for most athletes.

As marathon season approaches, runner Brad Schnarr has decided to retire his treadmill and head back outdoors with the puddles and slush.

Just before 9 a.m. on a brisk Saturday morning, two teams of peewee hockey players — one from Ottawa, one from Iqaluit — stream through the doors of the Ottawa Civic Centre, and head straight for the warmth of the dressing rooms.
