With winter fast approaching, Ottawa’s indoor soccer leagues are scoring in a big way.
People gather outside the National Arts Centre downtown on a frosty night, still buzzing about the marvels they have just witnessed. It’s November, it’s below freezing and they have just seen the new Warren Miller film, Cold Fusion.
The heavy, cumbersome bags of letters once delivered to Ottawa 67’s players have been replaced by computer screens, inboxes, and short printouts.
Faced with arena over-crowding and lack of space, the development of groups involved in activities such as girls, women’s, and recreational hockey is being restricted.
