Board wants more Spark(s)

New members on the Sparks Street Mall merchants’ management board are vowing to put the spark back into the popular pedestrian mall.

“We have a new vision and we’re going to start a fresh new campaign,” says Albert Gabbay, owner of Albert Opticians and one of seven new members on the 16-member board elected in late November. “We’ve got new people and new ideas and I think you’re going to see a spicier, more active board than ever.” read more

Harsher drug policy needed

This fall, an increasing number of Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union athletes have tested positive for steroids, including two from the University of Ottawa. read more
