As it finally starts to feel like spring in Ottawa, there’s still one place where skating enthusiasts can go to enjoy a skate outside.
Ottawa will become a hub for floor hockey players and fans when the city hosts the 2015 Special Olympics Provincial Floor Hockey Championships, which aim to raise awareness and broaden the exposure of sports for those with an intellectual disability.
Despite this morning’s announcement, Centretown isn’t getting a zoo any time soon.
Centretown health organizations say they’re hoping for a funding boost this spring from the provincial government to provide more home-care services to seniors.
