It’s 7 p.m. Past the Saturday night hustle and bustle of Elgin Street and the usual crowd at Dunn’s deli, Knox Presbyterian Church quietly opens its doors.

It’s just before 11 p.m. on a Saturday night and Centretown Pub is packed. Men and women – but mostly men – sit in the dimly lit pub chatting, laughing and drinking. Every table is taken and several more people lean up against the mirrored walls or the bar.
