Curlers in Centretown got an early taste of Halloween during the community’s first major curling bonspiel of the season.
With fall comes more than a change in leaves, it also brings on a new crowd of sports fans.
Visitors will surely go bug-eyed over a new exhibit at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Bugs: Outside of the Box features larger-than-life models of beetles, dragonflies, butterflies, grasshoppers, and more crafted by Italian sculptor Lorenzo Possenti to show that insects are really more than what meets the naked eye.
The signature black cats and rats featured in local artist Gwendolyn Best’s paintings are exploring new territory this Halloween: pumpkins, pastures and tractors.
