Gordie Wornoff had some rather interesting photographs in his photo essay, but I wonder if he realized, or was aware the photograph he took of the “Squatters-On-Trial” flyer was just another example of the illegal postering that this activist group has committed in Ottawa.

Environment Minister Stéphane Dion should be congratulated for his suggestion to add greenery to Ottawa by requiring all new federal government buildings to have gardens on their roof.
Arts Beat: We shouldn’t expect the arts to be just downtown
Ahhh, suburban life. It has long represented the end of coolness and creativity for many in the arts community. The cookie-cutter houses and white picket fences typical of many North American suburbs, just don’t scream dynamic artistic expression. And that is one reason why major arts events still tend to be held in the hip downtown areas we expect them to be.
