Ottawa’s older residents are set to benefit from an innovative support program that will be the first of its kind in Eastern Canada. A non-profit support group based in Centretown is introducing a free telephone-based social outreach service for people who are over 55 and for adults with physical disabilities.
The Peace Tower Church in Centretown is rallying until the end of March in order to raise funds to help Christian communities suffering from ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.

With Capital Pride celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Angus MacIsaac is hoping to free the pride archives from a locker they've been in for years. Ottawa’s Capital Pride Festival will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer, but the archives of all that history were nearly lost after previous festival organizers declared bankruptcy in December.
In Grade 10, Sanjay Dhawan and his friend Sabastien Packer started the Glebe Film Festival. Three years later, the students are expanding the festival to all high schools in Ottawa.
