McNabb Park, located at the corner of Bronson and Gladstone avenues, is the largest green space in Ottawa’s downtown core. The park backs onto the McNabb Community Centre, which was established in the 1970s. Both sites are popular destinations for local residents.
St. Luke’s park is located just beyond Elgin Street between Frank Street and Gladstone Avenue. The park was once home to St. Luke’s hospital, which was demolished in the 1930s. The land was later developed into St. Luke’s park.
The Garden of the Provinces and Territories is a four-acre site at the north end of Bronson Avenue with trees and shrubbery dotting the manicured lawn. Concrete terraces cover about one-fourth of the garden, where commemorative plaques, flags and fountains can be found.
Hidden between the busy streets of Ottawa, Dundonald Park provides a green break amid the pavement of Somerset Street.
