Ontario making COVID Rapid tests available for free
Ontario will distribute five million rapid tests each week for eight weeks at select locations, as well as 500,000 each week through community partners in vulnerable communities. CTV Ottawa says Ottawa residents can walk into one of 190 grocery stores and pharmacies in the capital to pick-up a free box of COVID-19 rapid test kits.
Photo finish gets team Canada gets silver medal in snowboard cross
Team Canada’s Éliot Grondin had an early lead in the snowboard cross final in Beijing, but Austria’s Alessandro Haemmerle took over and, in a photo finish, Grondin took home silver for Canada. “Pretty unreal. I don’t even realize it yet I think, just to be on the podium here at 20 years old,” Grondin told CBC Sports after the race. Canada also won bronze medals in Mixed Team Aerials and in Alpine Combined skiing.
