Since 2002, the Ottawa branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association has been using its Housing First condominium program to help people out of homelessness.
Housing First is an approach that prioritizes finding homes for the unhoused and then offering other supports.
Journalist Nathan Fung looks into why the CMHA thinks these condos are an important first step for its clients.
