But, what about our other animal friends?
In the United States, 223 million turkeys are killed every year, according to a USDA report — about 400 turkeys a minute.
Reporter Amisha Sachdeva is looking for ways to veganize the “meat-centric” holiday tradition, and is reminding omnivores that when it comes to food, there’s little difference between a turkey, dog or Tofurkey.
