Centretown writer cited for municipal reporting

Carleton journalism student Chad Paulin has been honoured with the first Rob Dolan Award for his coverage of municipal affairs in Centretown News.

The award is given by the regional municipality in the memory of Dolan, a communications official who died in 1998. Dolan wrote a manual on how to report civic affairs.

Paulin, 23, was cited for his exceptional interest and insight into municipal politics, and is now a teaching assistant at Centretown News.

“Every story Chad ever wrote for Centretown News appeared on the front page,” said publisher Klaus Pohle. “That reflects his excellence in this area of journalism.”
