Causeway Work Centre’s annual open house will take place Oct. 4, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at 22 O’Meara St. to celebrate the opening of a new Krackers Katering facility and include cooking demonstrations.

The Arthritis Society’s Eastern Ontario office is presenting a fundraising event “More Than Just Desserts” on Oct. 20, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of Nature (Metcalfe Street). The evening will feature several dessert and hors d’oeuvre selections from local restaurants and caterers, as well as wine tasting and a silent auction.
