Money raised will help fund leading-edge Canadian cancer research, provide information on all types of cancer and deliver community support services. The Gloucester Craftsmen’s Guild welcomes craftpersons and artisans from the Ottawa-Carleton region to its monthly meetings, held the third Thursday of every month at Cyrville Community Centre, 4355 Halmont Dr., off Ogilvie Road. Watch for local restaurants which will be participating in Dining for Dollars. Two dollars from the sale of every Sally Ann Special will be donated to The Salvation Army to support local programs and services.

St. Andrews Church, 82 Kent St., will hold a rummage sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items for sale will include clothes, books and household goods. For more information call 232-9042.

The Salvation Army will hold its annual Red Shield Breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Ottawa Congress Centre. Tickets are $50 each or $500 for a table of 10. All proceeds are going to local programs and services. For more information call 233-8428.

Get head-to-toe diabetes management information at the Diabetes Expo at the Hampton Inn Convention Centre in Ottawa.
