An early morning fire on Preston Street has caused over $400,000 in damages to a building in the Little Italy neighbourhood.
The fire began on the second-floor apartment of 173 Preston St. around 4 a.m., Thursday morning. Forty firefighters extinguished the blaze.
There are extensive fire damages to the apartment. A flower shop on the main floor of the building also suffered water damages.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
