Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man found unconscious on Booth Street Monday morning, according to an Ottawa Police Service news release.
Emergency services were called at 10:27 a.m. Monday to respond to an unconscious man discovered outside the 300 block of Booth Street. He was later pronounced dead in the hospital.
According to the release, the identity of the victim is still being verified, and the exact cause of death will be determined by autopsy.
Booth Street remains closed to traffic between Eccles and Poplar streets while police continue the investigation.
