The Ottawa Police Service have released a sketch of a man they believe responsible for three incidents of assault, two of which occurred in Centretown.
Two women were assaulted and suffered minor injuries in separate incidents on Dec. 11., according to a news release issued Friday.
One assault took place near Tunney’s Pasture and the other while a woman was walking on Albert Street near City Centre Avenue.
In the late afternoon on Jan. 4, a third woman also suffered minor injuries when she was assaulted while walking in the area near Gilmour Street and Bay Street.
Sgt. Dave Veinotte of the Ottawa Police said their injuries did not require hospitalization.
The suspect is described as a white male with a slim build, dark wavy hair and he may have a mustache. He is believed to be between 18 and 25 years old.
Sgt. Veinotte said the time between the assaults and the similar descriptions caused them to notify the public.
“He’s in need of being caught . . . we’re letting people know in that area to look out for someone that matches that description,” he said.
