Bail granted to third accused in Booth Street shooting

A third man accused in a shooting death on Booth Street in December has been granted bail.

Abdulhamid Wehbe, 20, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of sixteen-year-old Yazdan Ghiasi on Dec. 6.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, bail was set at $120,000 at a hearing Thursday, with four sureties that included his stepmother and paternal grandparents.

Bail conditions include staying at his grandparents’ home in Ottawa, following a curfew and not communicating with his co-accused.

Khaled Wehbe, 19, and Zakaria Dourhnou, 18, are charged with being accessories to murder.

They were granted bail at a hearing Jan. 12, under similar conditions.

Mohamed Wehbe is the fourth man accused in the shooting, facing a charge of second-degree murder.

Police say he is currently at large.
