Construction on Ottawa’s first segregated bike lane is underway and expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
The new bike lane will stretch along Laurier Avenue from Bronson Avenue to Lyon Street.
A segregated bike lane is physically separated from traffic through the use of curbs, planter boxes and parked cars.
The construction is part of a two-year City of Ottawa pilot project approved in February.
