Ottawa’s chief librarian to retire

Ottawa’s chief librarian, Barbara Clubb, will be retiring in December.

In a news release, Clubb, 64, said that after 40 years of service it’s time to retire.

She has served as chief librarian of the Ottawa Public Library since 2001 and has overseen the opening of two new branches and helped 10 other branches receive renovations.

Clubb has been recognized for her work with a number of awards, including the Canadian Library Association’s outstanding service to librarianship award in 2007.
