Two injured in Bronson and Slater collision

Two pedestrians are in critical condition after a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bronson Avenue and Slater Street yesterday.

The accident, which involved two minivans, a taxi and two pedestrians, forced Ottawa police to close the intersection in both directions for most of the afternoon.

A media relations officer for the police said one pedestrian is suffering from life-threatening injuries while the other is in stable condition.

He said the details of the collision aren’t clear yet, but from bystander accounts it appears the taxi was hit when making a left turn by a minivan that was travelling along Bronson.
