Police arrest two men after string of Centretown break-ins

Two men have been charged in a series of break and enters in the Centretown area, said Ottawa police.

The break-ins had been happening for over a month, but after noticing a pattern and conducting a surveillance of the area the break and enter unit was able to make the arrests Jan 12, according to police

Ronald Rivet, 68, of Ottawa was charged with four counts of break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Douglas Lafleur, 52, of Ottawa was charged with 12 counts of break and enter, three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
