NCC announces free ‘Sno-Bus’ service for Winterlude

Winterlude is getting some help going green this year.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is set to sponsor the Winterlude Sno-Bus, the National Capital Commission (NCC) announced Jan. 17.

The Sno-Bus is a free shuttle service connecting Winterlude’s official sites, such as the Rideau Canal Skateway, Confederation Park and Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau.

“This partnership is especially important because it encourages visitors to use public transit, and contributes to reducing Winterlude’s carbon footprint,” said Marie Lemay, the NCC’s Chief Executive Officer, in a news release.

OC Transpo and the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) will offer the shuttle service and the Sno-Bus stops will be marked by official Winterlude signs.
