A man in his 30s is in custody after a police chase in Centretown this morning.
Just after 7 a.m. Wednesday, police attempted to stop a vehicle near Cumberland and Murray streets. The driver rammed a police car and fled the scene in the vehicle. A brief pursuit followed, ending at Kent and Lisgar streets.
The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police closed northbound Kent Street at Somerset Street West as well as westbound Lisgar Street at Bank Street, but the roads have since been reopened.
