Several roads in the downtown area will be closed for parts of tomorrow for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The parade will kick-off at city hall at 11 a.m and will run until about 1 p.m. The route will go west on Laurier Avenue before turning right on Bank Street and then left on Wellington Street. The parade will end at the Portage Bridge.
Wellington Street will be closed from Bank Street to the Portage Bridge, and Bank will be closed from Laurier Avenue to Wellington Street.
The westbound lanes of Laurier Avenue between Nicholas and Elgin streets will also be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for public safety reasons.
Effected roads will reopen gradually as the parade passes.
