Remembering the First World War

Commemoration tnEric Murphy, Centretown News Volunteers wearing period clothing stand near the War Memorial during the First World War commemoration on August 4.The 100 year anniversary of the First World War’s beginning didn’t pass by unnoticed in the capital. Hundreds of spectators gathered in front of the National War Memorial to honor the fallen soldiers and remember the conflict. 

Meanwhile, downtown museums are commemorating the event with new exhibits revealing stories that have never been told before.
