Police press several drug charges after search of Centretown home

Ottawa Police laid several drug charges after they executed a search warrant at a residence on Bank Street.

Guy Cote, 48, and Erin Doucette, 41, were charged with multiple counts of drug possession and with the purpose of trafficking, according to Ottawa Police.

The two were arrested and charged after a three-week covert investigation, according to a news release by the Ottawa Police Service.

Seized items included various drugs with an estimated street value of $6,500. Other items found at the residence are believed to be stolen property.

During the search, a male suspect jumped from the second-story balcony, landing on and severely damaging a vehicle below. He was later arrested at the corner of Gladstone Avenue and Kent Street, according to police.

Doucette has been released and will appear in court at a later date. Cote was scheduled to appear in court yesterday.
