A man was shot over the weekend following an altercation in the LeBreton Flats area, according to a statement released today by the Ottawa Police.
The Ottawa Hospital alerted the police at approximately 3:50 p.m. His injuries are not life threatening, the statement said.
The man stated he was walking the night before when he was confronted by two men. He said they demanded his personal belongings and there was a struggle in which he was shot twice, said the statement.
The Ottawa Guns and Gangs Unit and Direct Action Response Team are leading an investigation.
