A family of four and one other adult have been displaced after a kitchen fire swept through their home on Rochester Street near Lebreton Flats Sunday night, tweeted Ottawa Fire Services public information officer Marc Messier.
Ottawa Fire Services responded to 911 calls at 9:30 p.m. and extinguished the blaze by 9:40 p.m., reported Messier.
One person was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation while several others were treated at the scene, Messier tweeted.
The total amount of damage is worth around $50,000, said Messier.
