Fire in the Glebe costs $10,000 in damages

A fire Saturday morning caused an estimated $10,000 in damages to an apartment building in the Glebe, the Ottawa Fire Services said in a press release.

A 911 call alerted emergency services to a fire at 585 O’Connor St. on the building’s balcony.

It is believed the cause of the fire was “smoking materials in a pot,” the press release said.

No one was injured or displaced in the incident.
