Police officer charged with impaired driving

An Ottawa Police officer was charged Wednesday with impaired driving.

Const. Jarrid Foley, 37, of Ottawa was off-duty when the incident occurred on July 5, 2015. The charge was laid by the police unit operating out of La Pêche, QC, about 30 minutes from Ottawa.

He is currently assigned to administrative duties. The Ottawa Police Service’s news release says their Professional Standards Section has launched an investigation into the matter, but the officer has not been convicted.
