Environment Canada has extended its freezing rain warning for the Ottawa area.
Icy conditions are now expected to persist until around midnight. It was estimated earlier that it would switch to plain rain by this evening.
Environment Canada is warning people to use caution when using sidewalks, roadways and highways.
