Power down tonight for Earth Hour

Once again, households around the world will power down to raise awareness for climate change.

Earth Hour, now in its 10th year, will take place this evening from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. EDT.

Citizens are encouraged to turn off lights and power down electronics, including their smartphones, to use less electricity for one hour.

Following the Paris climate talks in December, Canada joined an agreement signed by almost 200 countries to fight climate change and reduce carbon emission footprints on every continent.

So don’t forget – lights out, Centretown!
