A curling team from Centretown missed out on a medal finish at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts by only two points.
The Ottawa Curling Club team lost 9-7 Sunday in the bronze-medal game against Nova Scotia.
The team, skipped by Rachel Homan, represented Ontario at the annual national women's curling championship.
Ontario led 3-0 after three ends, but Nova Scotia, led by Heather Smith-Dacey, tied it up in the fourth.
After exchanging points, Smith-Dacey scored two points in the seventh end and solidified the win with three in the ninth.
Only one day before, Homan’s team had defeated Nova Scotia 13-5 in a quarter-final.
Both teams finished the tournament with nine wins and five losses.
Saskatchewan beat Team Canada 8-7 in the final game to win the tournament. Amber Holland’s rink will now represent Canada at the world championship in Esjberg, Denmark March 18-27.
