Second fire under investigation
Police and fire marshal officials investigate a second suspicious fire in two weeks in a building at the intersection of Bank and Somerset streets Wednesday afternoon. The building houses both the Bangladeshi High Commission and the U.S Defense Contract Management Agency. The fires, the first of which caused millions of dollars in damage, are being treated as suspicious, said Ottawa Police sergeant James Pietrkiewicz. During the September incident, fires were set on the second and fourth floors. The second fire broke out at 6 am Monday. Fire official are still trying to determine a cause.
