Ottawa’s green bin collection will switch to bi-weekly pick up during the winter months, according to a news release from the City of Ottawa.
The city said residents can check the collection calendar online at ottawa.ca to determine the right dates for collection, and to find out how to properly dispose of household items.
The “Waste Explorer” search tool shows the proper way to dispose of everything from electronics to tires and household waste.
Weekly green bin collection will start up again in April 2011.
