Snow storm headed for Ottawa: Environment Canada

Ottawa should brace itself for another winter storm tomorrow, according to Environment Canada.

The weather office has issued a “winter storm warming” for Ottawa and eastern Ontario, forecasting 20 centimetres of snow on Tuesday.

“The latest forecasting guidance is indicating snow will develop later Tuesday morning possibly preceded by some freezing drizzle,” the warning states. “Snow will become heavy at times in the afternoon before changing to freezing rain later in the day.”

Environment Canada said the freezing rain is expected to return to flurries at night, and conditions should improve overnight Tuesday.
