Print stolen from hospital patient

Police are on the hunt for a personalized print of two Ottawa Senators players that was stolen on Tuesday from a car outside Saint-Vincent Hospital in Centretown.

The suspect used a rock to smash the window of the vehicle and take the framed print, according to police. The hospital is located at Cambridge Street North and Primrose Avenue.

The print, which was of Erik Karlsson and team captain Jason Spezza, belonged to a "very sick young boy," according to a police press release.

The Senators announced this morning that Spezza was preparing a gift package for the patient that is to be delivered later today. The package is expected to include a pair of tickets to the Senators next home game and a brand new personalized print.

Police are requesting anyone with information on the robbery to contact Sgt. Anthony Constantini at 613-236-1222, extension 5635, or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.
