RCMP arrests two Ottawa residents on terrorism charges

Two Ottawa residents have been arrested and charged with multiple terrorism offences following an investigation by the RCMP Ottawa Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET).

Ashton Carleton Larmond and Carlos Larmond have been charged with participating in the activity of a terrorist group and other offences, according to an RCMP press release.

Carlos Larmond was arrested at the Montreal’s Pierre-Elliot Trudeau International Airport and Ashton Carleton Larmond was arrested in Ottawa, according to the release.
