O-Train problems continue

O-Train service was cancelled Tuesday morning after there were problems with a new switching station.

“It’s certainly been a frustrating few days,” said transit commission chairman Stephen Blais on CBC Radio.

According to Blais, OC Transpo staff discovered an “electronic problem” with one of the newly installed switching stations.

For two days in a row the O-Train service has been disrupted due to malfunctioning equipment.

On Monday, city officials had planned to celebrate the launch of the newly expanded service, inviting reporters to a briefing at Carleton University’s O-Train station. But instead, commuters were greeted with delays during the relaunch of the O-Train Trillium Line.

Upset citizens have taken to Twitter following two days of service interruptions.

“O-train? More like No-train,” read one tweet.
