Overnight parking restriction due to forecasted snowfall

Drivers are prohibited from leaving their cars parked on the street overnight after Environment Canada issued a weather alert warning of 10 cm of snowfall for the area starting Tuesday afternoon.

The City of Ottawa announced parking restrictions for Wednesday night from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. The restrictions will remain in effect until the city announces otherwise, according to the news release.

Due to weather conditions “vehicles are banned from parking on any city street so that crews can clear them easily and effectively,” said the release. Tickets will be issued for vehicles left parked on the street during the overnight ban.

Only on-street parking permit holders are exempt from this restriction.
