Engineering student Nikhil Kharbanda returned to residence during COVID-19 for his last year at Carleton University. He came back so he could access resources needed to complete his final project. All engineering students must complete one to graduate.

Kharbanda says he felt isolated and alone after arriving on campus, an experience nothing like his first year in residence. The university’s new safety regulations make it difficult for students to socialize, but Kharbanda realizes that’s for the best. He says students just have to understand safety has to come first.
